I haven’t had that many Swedish porters, but I think this must be one of the best. A very rounded taste, good roasty taste with a good overall hop identity on top of a sturdy backbone. Considering the low ABV I think this beer is quite an accomplishment. senior (6) - Enskede, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2010 does not count
There are few porters who can match this one- the vanilla, the smoke just the faint of it... One to finish off the evening with and 100sek is not expensive when you get it served the right way at the right place and you leave the place with a smile in your face. robinvboyer (4754) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 11, 2009
sooooooooooooo roasty, soooooooo good!
sweet malt, mixed with roasted malt. Sweet cocoa, and coffee notes. A touch of fruit, and some of vanilla. Such a great porter. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2006
Draught at The Rover, Göteborg. Jet black colour with a creamy dense light brown head. Roasted malty aroma with loads of coffee bitterness along a chocolate sweetness. Roasted malty flavor with a chocolate sweetness, some fruityness and a coffee bitter finish. RobertGBG (109) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 27, 2006
Draught, This is a big favorite of mine, very dark with huge light brown creamy head, bitterness, a lot of chocolate, coffee, butter.
The latest testing was of an stored barrel (for some months), this one had more flavor of tar and smoke.

Pitch black colour, medium brown very creamy head, thick lacing. Aroma is heavily roasted, coffee, smoke, brown sugar, smoked sausages, very appealing. Flavour is roasted and full of black coffee, it has a nice bitterness and some acidity as well. Mouthfeel is smooth medium bubbles and a bit sticky. Nynäshamn once again proves that they are axtremely good at making stouts and porters!

The color is very dark, almost black, with medium sized brownish head. Mild aroma of roasted malt with an impression of haring. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor, but the body is a bit too thin; dry mouthfeel; medium-low bitterness.
Good Porter, but not impressive.

Black color; creamy head. Very nice aroma, dark chocolate and a touch of vanilla pod, creamy, with Italian espresso, light Madeira and tobacco; I like it very much. Medium body strength, but well round; it has a good chocolate flavor with light roastiness at the end, and a light sour vibe; no edges; balanced bitterness. Complex and harmonic. This is how I would like all my Porters. Excellent.

Black color; thick creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash tree freshly cut wood, coffee, ashes. Good mouthfeel, if not for a high carbonation it would be silky, with roasted malt, some coffee, light liquorice, dry, and hops; a bit metallic at the end. Solid.
Draught at The Rover, Göteborg. Black colour with a big brown head. Roasted, chocolate, vanilla, coffee aroma and taste, light sweet. Medium to full body with a dry finish.
