Dark pour, nearly black, with a dark tan, frothy head of foam. Invigorating nose shows hints of dried chocolate, smoke, leather and dark fruit. Incredibly flavorful for a 6.6% beer, lots of taste. Hints of chocolate, smoke, tobacco and dried dark fruit. The most impressive part is the finish, which lasts nearly 30 seconds. An amazing recipe and also carefully brewed. Lovely black, oily viscosity. Dark foam and nice lacing. A bit tart aroma with hints of liquorice/ ammonium chloride, a tar smokiness, and julmust (Swedish root beer style soda for Christmas). Powerful on the palate. First some fruit then tar pastille, raw liquorice (root), and coffee. A well balanced bitterness emerge from below which gives the dry finish a nice timbre. A really heavy stout both in taste and character. A bit thin body though.

[On tap at Bishops Arm, Vasagatan, Stockholm] Pours black with thick, creamy head. Smooth chocolate aroma with gentle vanilla notes. Smooth and rounded mouth-feel. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, liquorice and nougat, wonderful, and it all ends with a well-balanced roastiness. Excelllent beer. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2010
Aroma with notes of vanilla, fruit and syrup. Fresh and lively.
Big flavour of marengue and fruit. Bitter. Franzen (588) - SWEDEN - NOV 9, 2013
Nice smoky, charcutery aroma with some ryebread, wet wood (sauna) and coffee.

Pitch black with thick beige head
Faint malt sweetness in the beginning, smoke and charceturies in the interlude finished of with a really nice round bitterness
Full body, creamy with low carbonation
This really is a fantastic stout. A pity the bottle is so small, I want more
Bottle 25 cl from Systembolaget. Black with a thin dark brown head. Smoke, smoked meat, roasted malt, licorice?, burnt wood. Full body, very thick and creamy, low carbonation, bitter finish. Very nice! JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 27, 2005
Hand-bottled (I think). Oily black coloured beer with a very dark brown head. Nose shows blackberry fruitiness, roasted malt, and a hint of smoke. Fairly sweet, light carbonation but full-bodied. Dark chocolate, roast, a touch of licorice and a long fruity and yeasty/dusty finish. Probably the beer of the evening. honkensponken (11) - SWEDEN - MAR 27, 2009
Draft. Clear black with a smallish tanned head. Sadly it was served too cold. Still were nice with smokey, chocolate coffee taste and aroma, balanced. Will definitly order one when I see it the next time, best brew I’ve had for a long time. Scauca (490) - Lovere, ITALY - APR 30, 2009
Tap @ 3 Små Rum. Wonderful black appearance, with a creamy lasting light brown head. Strong roasted and burnt aroma, fresh roasted cocoa beans, bit of coffee, vanilla, ashes. Strong bodied, smooth, balanced, with clean and sharp flavours. Drank two pint in half an hour...;-) Linnet (1813) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - FEB 4, 2010
Brown medium sized creamy head, lacing.
Ar: Smoked meat, acidity, heavily roasted, coffee, dark chocolate, fruitiness, smoke.
F: Exactly the same flavour as in the nose, ending with a lingering bitterness. Lovely!
M: smooth yet refreshing, small bubbles.
T: Once again nynäshamn prove that they are masters of the porter/stout-segment!
