Kolsvart med litet skum som snabbt dör. Tät. Russin, plommon, kaffe, choklad i en riKtigt fyllig kropp. Något söt men bra balans med bitterheten. Ser framemot att testa denna när den legat till sig i några år!

Bottle (2013 edition, BB Aug 2018). Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, bitter chocolate), with notes of sherry, bourbon, oak, tar, soy sauce. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, creamy/syrupy texture, soft/lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Ehhh, really not my thing...soy saucy and oxidized and whiskyish. Folks who like their stouts old and barrel aged will probably enjoy this, whereas those who like them fresh and vibrant will not. Not too bad for what it is, but not very enjoyable for me.

Bottle, 25cl - Opaque black brown beer with a large brown head. Aroma is malty with notes of molasses, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, molasses, licorice and cough medicine. Sweet and slightly unbalanced.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2014 (Bottle). Fine fragrance with a soft tone that contains aromas of roasted malt, tart fruit, vanilla, sweet caramell, smoke, chocolate and barrel storage. The taste is a bit tart fruity with hints of roasted malt, raisins and chocolate and with some notes of barrel and smoke. The aftertaste is a bit dry. A aromatic and nice beer!

mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 8, 2013
330mL bottle, courtesy of siranselm (thanks Marcus), pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, some subtle winter spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), and light toasted malt. Flavour brings out soft chocolate malt, almost an irony bloody type taste and some subtle winter spices as aforementioned. Pretty soft carbonation, with a light body. Not the most interesting porter, nor are the flavours very well executed. Decent stuff, but nothing special.

Taste of dark chocolate, coffe and dark fruits. Not to much carbonation. A very good swedish imperial porter!

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Black color. Roasty coffeish aroma with dark bread and milk chocolate. Taste of coffee, dark bread, licorice, nuts and milk chocolate. Full body. OK imperial porter, but needs something more punchy.
