COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional unfiltered Bavarian wheat beer with aromatic hints of banana and clove. This beer won the Bavarian Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver Colorado Staurday, September 27, 2003. It is made with up to 50% wheat malt instead of all malted barley which lends a lighter note. It is deep gold in color with a very low hop bitterness level and a dense head of white foam. It is traditionally enjoyed as the summer beer of choice in Bavaria and pairs well with appetizers, sandwiches and subs.

12 oz single bottle from Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Yellow to orange and light hazy appearance with a fully dissipating head. Aroma of banana, esters, clove, light toasted grain and light peppery spices. Similar flavor, adding a lingering syrupy sweetness. Light body with a watery feel. Pretty meh overall.

Taster. Hazy unfiltered wheat beer. Classic light lemon notes. Very refreshing. I see why it scored well at GABF...

Could have a fluffier head otherwise this is a great German hefe! A marriage of bubblegum, banana and hefe in great balance with a clean finish. Not clothing and light. Easy drinking lawnmower hefe!

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice banana, biscuit, orange into a bit of clove, nice hints of vanilla into a bit of slight white fruit. Taste was a mix of bread, biscuit, vanilla into a bit of wheat, slight lemon into some banana, ncie clove, coriander notes, finishing slightly sweet. Best they had there.
