Finally had this, loved the regular arrogant for ever, this one is great big hoppy and malty in both nose and flavor, evident oak throu out! Oak added and did not take away from experience! Perfect guys! IPagan5 (106) - San Marcos, California, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Everything in the Arrogant Bastard plus the oak. I liked this better, but I like oak. Not too big on oak so good! It seemed the oak helped balance out the caramel I complained about in my AB rating. Perfect brew in my opinion. jlong1965 (16) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 27, 2016
Loved this beer obviously form the rating. Oak and hop balanced aroma. Pine and oak great pair. Flavor of malt hops and oak. 33 1/3% of each. Great finish to match the favors. crashcarr (5) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - AUG 23, 2009 does not count
As close to a perfect beer as you can get. Complexity that takes the awesome Arrogant Bastard and adds hints of vanilla to the already nice balance of malt and hops.

How do you round out the bitter bite of the Arrogant Bastard Ale? Oak age it- Outstanding. An absolute pleasure to drink. Ben_Gagnon (1) - USA - JUL 17, 2010 does not count
Very hoppy, dark and complex, a delectable beer. Assertive and bold. To me, this beer is a special treat, it makes for a truly special moment dickcheaney (20) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 24, 2011
Oak matches hops perfectly. Great body for a dry beer. Sweet but not cloyingly, balanced bitterness.

Pours a very dark amber with a hazy appearance and a yellowish head that leaves lovely lacing along the glass. Strong malty, caramel presence in the nose, a bit of the citrusy hops as well. The flavor is all malt up front, sweet and strong, almost overwhelming the tongue until the also formidable hops rush in and finish off the ale with a powerful resiny, oaky finish. Despite its incredible potency, the beer is almost perfectly balanced and leaves the drinker wanting more. Possibly my favorite beer. badmansam (58) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2013
Keg @ Exmouth Arms 2013/3/6. Such a great beer and a real surprise and treat to find it on draught. Credit to Barworks for making that happen.
