Bottle from Crown #19.
Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeast, sweet malt and small fruity aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Good drinkable beer that is average for style. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2006
UPDATED: APR 21, 2006 12oz bottle acquired in trade with atpayne (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of fruits, light spices, yeast and some candi sugar. Fruity tasting with light spices, citrus and light yeast. I found this one to not be overly sweet like some of the tripels I’ve had of late. deyholla (12589) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Bottle. Poured a thick hazy gold with a thick lasting white head. Aroma was full of sweet grains with a hint of coriander. Flavor was full of sweet grains as well, really came off as a bit of a one note beer and that one note was a bit overly sweet. shrubber85 (11708) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Growler. White grape and peach malt aroma. Bright yellow color with minimal head. Sweet grape-peach malt aroma with a mild alcohol finish. Very nice beer - really enjoyed the grape flavor in this one. BVery (11461) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Aroma of apple and Belgian yeast. Taste is citrus and yeast - pretty good. Thanks Folty!

Appearance: hazy gold, frothy off white head, streaks of lace,
Aroma: sweet malt aroma with light fruity esters balanced by a nice spicyness, touch of candy,
Flavor: sweet and fruity candy malt flavor, light balancing spicyness, touch of balancing bitterness comes out of the spicy character,
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 7/10; Overall: 12/20
Draft to taster. Abv is listed as 9.7%. Looks decent; a completely transparent light gold with white lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, clove, and mild banana. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel that’s fairly thin on the palate, but not aversively so. A solid, easy-drinking example of the style. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thin ring of small-bubbled wispy-white head. Aroma of orange citrus and pale malts with some phenols. Body starts fairly full and viscous with some bready yeasty and sweet malt and honey notes along with a touch of light fruity flavors before a warming finish. Has some decent authenticity but needs more balance. Patrickctenchi (6810) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Pours a hazy, soda-like brown/yellow, non existent head, yet starts off feeling carbonated, lots of floaties....Nose is citrus, very strong at first. Taste is sharp and sweet, almost tart, alcohol is noticeable, more harsh orange notes.....wait, There it is! Reminds me of a weak screwdriver! My first try at this type, so I won’t yet dismiss it out of hand. Not bad, tastewise. BBB63 (6567) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - SEP 8, 2006
Bottle shared with the middle-of-nowhere Ohio crew, thanks Jeff: Golden hued with a small fizzy head and zip for lacing (not good for tripel). The nose detects apricot, straw and hay, grassy hops, honey, sugar, and it is phenolic. The taste is sweet and sugary with a fruity backbone. Additionally I found some pepper and clove towards the finish. Very average and a touch CLOY.
