Amber in color, clear with a thin head. This was a amber ale thats for sure but no Barrel flavoring to speck of. Not the flavor i was looking for.

Hazy brown-red, quick tan head. Scent is caramel...woody. Taste is slightly nutty, smooth, a little roasted....very pleasant.

[4275-20120128] 12floz bottle. Light grainy aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter sweet tree bark butter and leafy hops flavour. Medium body. Nice balance. (6/3/7+/4-/14) 3.4

Wow. Aroma is caramel, Light hops, drk red in color. Taste is Carmel, semi sweet, high malt, moderate hops that give the beer a bite at the back end. Very well balanced. The beer had a nice froth head from start to finish, lots of lace. May be the best red I have had! Highly recommended ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 02/09/2012. Clear dark amber pour with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Short stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt and hops. Light body with flavors of mild hops, caramel malt and toast. The finish is sweet with a short bready malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Wow..I can’t believe how low the ratings are for this GREAT RED ALE! Nice red ale flavor with a smooth finish. i don’t know how far out this ale goes for distribution, but it is brewed in a small city on Indiana. If you have the opportunity to pcik this beer up, do so. You will thank me!!

Aroma of caramel/ almonds/ brown sugar/ apple. Appearance is dark amber with bone head. Flavor matches the nose with a moderate spruce/ nutty finish. Palate is bubbly and slightly chewy. Actually pretty good- one of the better amber ales I’ve had.

12 oz. bottle One of my buddies brought me back a few bottles from this brewery/restaurant. Nice color, decent head but no discernable nose. Taste was pleasant w/ moderate carbonation. Nothing outstanding but offensive. Pretty decent ale...

Hazy red (sediment in bottom of bottle), little head, small lace. The best thing I can say is that it is FAR better than I anticipated. There is plenty of caramel malt and roasted grain (maybe some bread?). A nikce bittering, combo of carbonation and mild hops finishes it well. Balanced, easy to drink, not filling, a surprisingly good ale.

12 ounce bottle from Crown Liquors #19 in Carmel, IN. Pours a clear red color with a medium fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, earthy and nutty notes. Faint hop finish. The taste is toffee, bitter hops, earthy notes and a bit of nuttiness. Medium bodied.
