Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 (Yet another beer that I had on the Saturday morning when all was quite and after icing up , this was quite nice for breakfast at 07:30) Honey and hop dominate the nose of this almost straw coloured very light beer with a white foamy head sat atop. In a blind tasting I think that I would fail miserably at guessing the strength of this beer as it drank like a session ale. A nice floralness about this along with diluted honey and a delicate bitterness., its not a world beater and not even close to the best that Oakham can do but that aside its actually pretty good..

Light gold in colour, this doesn't look dangerous. Aromas are sweet grain and alcohol vapours. Flavours are JHB on steroids. Grapefruit and grain. Grrrr.

Cask @ BeerExpo Finland 2013.
Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma of hay, lemony fruits, some apricot and wood. Flavour of fruits, some caramel and hay. Mellow fruity palate. Boring.

Cask stillage at the Birmingham CAMRA festival 2014. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is zesty citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big fruity zesty citrus, light creamy hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask Handpump at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 05/08/2009 Big hoppy pine aroma. Clear golden coloured very hoppy fruity and pale. A little creamy on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry bitter malt finish.

Cask HP at The Webb Ellis Twickenham as Oakham Attila, 7.5%. Pale golden orange, translucent, still, foamy beige head. Aroma is gummy sweets, daquiri, rum. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is quenching melon, haribo, gummy red lips sweets, sweet with some spicy white rum alcohol notes. Slow drinking but pleasurable all the while. Can’t imagine this shifting too quickly at a spoons pub, but very happy to see it here. The pump clip suggests it’s going to smash your head into two pieces...and it delivers.

Cambridge Blue Summer Beer Festival 2013, Cambridge

Cask. Golden color with medium creamy white head. Aroma of perfumed malt, citrus, pears, mango. Taste, sweet perfumed malt, citrus fruits, honey, piney hops. Long bitter sweet finish. Tasty. So far the best beer from event.

downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2012
Cask-conditioned at the Cambridgeshire & Lincolnshire Beeriodical, at the Seven Stars, Bristol, August 2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweet, caramel and tropical fruit aroma with a touch of floral hop and warming alcohol. Flavour was also sweet and fruity, with a full mouth feel and alcohol heavy finish. Good, but a half pint was sufficient.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2013 Cask conditioned - Gravity Dispense - Bedford Beer Festival. Bit of malt and sticky hops in the aroma of this golden coloured beer. The taste is thick, malty and bready. Didn’t get so much hop as in the aroma. Doesn’t taste 8%. Score 3.3

Cask @ Olutexpo 2013<bt /> Aroma has caramel, sweet fruity notes and hints of biscuits. Flavour is harsh in a bitter way. It has some fruit candy, gooseberry bush notes, bitter herbs and hints of caramel. Odd.
