UPDATED: FEB 8, 2009 Feb 2004 White Cliffs Winter Ales Fest. Gravity. A huge and very pleasant barley wine - a big rush of pale malt, splendidly and gently sweet, perfectly balanced with a delicate and floral hop envelope. Nice indeed. Feb 2004 White Cliffs Winter Ales Fest. Gravity. Pale colour. White Lily beer. Pleasant. [3.6]
Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 (Yet another beer that I had on the Saturday morning when all was quite and after icing up , this was quite nice for breakfast at 07:30) Honey and hop dominate the nose of this almost straw coloured very light beer with a white foamy head sat atop. In a blind tasting I think that I would fail miserably at guessing the strength of this beer as it drank like a session ale. A nice floralness about this along with diluted honey and a delicate bitterness., its not a world beater and not even close to the best that Oakham can do but that aside its actually pretty good.. Gravity, ’08 Merton Summer Festival. Ultra pale gold, soapy white head. Bright flowery nose with blackberries. Caramel sweetness tangled up with dried flowers, hint of mineral oil. Very light body. Fresh and good, but doesn’t make all that much use of it’s strength. For the level of interest here, why not drink the 4% bitter it tastes like? Newark Winter Beer Festival, 2009. Golden/amber coloured beer with a fruity and vinous aroma and flavour. Overall an average beer.
Cask-conditioned at the Cambridgeshire & Lincolnshire Beeriodical, at the Seven Stars, Bristol, August 2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweet, caramel and tropical fruit aroma with a touch of floral hop and warming alcohol. Flavour was also sweet and fruity, with a full mouth feel and alcohol heavy finish. Good, but a half pint was sufficient.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2013 Cask conditioned - Gravity Dispense - Bedford Beer Festival. Bit of malt and sticky hops in the aroma of this golden coloured beer. The taste is thick, malty and bready. Didn’t get so much hop as in the aroma. Doesn’t taste 8%. Score 3.3hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2009

Cask, gravity, at St Neots BF ’09 (’Booze on the Ouse’). Gold. Aroma of Corona lemonade, but taste is thicker, oilier. Brimming with citrus. A little bitterness. Immensely, treacherously drinkable. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 12, 2009
Cask @ GBBF 2009. A clear yellow/golden colored beer, with a small white head. The aroma of malts and fruits like citrus. A little alcohol. The taste of fruits, with bitter and a little sweet. There are some spices. The aftertaste is bittersweet. Brandman (2948) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 1, 2010
Golden body, white head. Malty aroma with fruits and peaches. Crisp flavour, some apple and citrus. Very bitter, nice malty backbone. Warming alcohol, but not in a bad way.
