Half pint @Castle Hotel, 04.Jul.2012 Clear hay coloured body, small dense head that diminishes and leaves a tiny layer. Hops, tangerines, flowers and fruit. Hint of coriander (?) in aroma, fresh oranges, snap peas, green grass and grain. Dry finish. Yummy!

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2017 Cask at the Robin Hood Beer Festival 2017. Clear straw yellow. Citric and herbal aroma. Not too watery. Same mix of citrus and herbal flavours on the palate, leading to a bitter and floral finish. Lasting bitter aftertaste. Good.

Hand-pulled in the Guilded Arms, Edinburgh. Lo carbonation and the hops flavor could be more intense to make it outstanding. However, the gentle hoppy flavor and a slight but unmistakable bitter aftertaste make this a decent, easy to drink Ale.

A pint in the mansion house . Golden with thin head. Flowery with just the right amounts of hops on the aroma which as well, add perfect bitter balance to the the over all Sweet and fruity taste. Probably the best Oakham beer i ever had.

martpez (373) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2017 Fruity tasty notes followed by a dry sourness. Very flavoursome. Very lightly carbonated a bit too much. Update: another pint. It’s pretty sour stuff. Slight sweetness at the end. Bombarded with hops and unbalanced. I don’t rate this beer. Hops for hops sake but in a really muddy way.

Cask, Mariners Great Yarmouth. Golden appearance with small off white head and a pleasant light citrus aroma, lemon and melon. Taste of hops with citrus and light fruits coming through to a slightly bitter, pithy and dry lasting aftertaste. Not at all bad, and as usual another decent beer from the Oakham fold.
