Cask @ CPK. The pour’s a hazy brown with a medium tan head. The nose is of light chocolate milk, some sweet nutella spread, light almond nut and earthy twigs. The taste is mild red fruits, earthy charred grain. Notes of sweet hazelnut spread. Creamy body with a lovely dry finish. Light and quite flavorful. Overall, a real winner. Nice one, Oakham!
Cask at the St. Ives 'Booze on the Ouse' beer festival, 2017. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nut, citrus and dark fruits. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head.
Nose - rich chocolate and possibly some dried fruit.
Taste - more viscous chocolate and some prunes.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly balanced finish.
Overall - good porter.

Cask at the Pelt Trader ,Cannon Street. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Chocolate, roasted spice, black pepper and coffee in the nose. Flavours of chocolate, coffee, toffee, caramel. Smoky finsih. Nice.

Cask gravity at the St Albans BEER festival 2016. A mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting sticky beige head. Aroma is sweet nutty malts, cocoa, black malts, woodland berries. Flavour is composed of soft nutty malts malts, tangy red berries, cranberry, burnt cocoa. Little. Mineral. Palate is semi sweet, medium light, maybe a little thin, good cask condition. Decent drop. Tried this bad boy at the cardinals hat, Lincoln. Note to self. The cardinals hat in Lincoln is at the bottom on steep hill, which although in the very flat county of Lincolnshire, is well... steep, therefore the tables outside aren’t flat, next time try not to lightly bang my knee on table and send my beer half way down the hill. Anyway this beer has a Deep Ruby to black colour with a tan head, decent roasted and fruity aroma with a hoppy depth. Taste light sweet to roasted bitter finish. Draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London. Dark almost black beer with a nice lasting beige head. Roasted caramel and chocolate aroma, fruity, grapes, citrus, some cocoa powder. Chocolate and grape flavor, licorice, oranges, caramel, some cocoa. Kinda simple but pleasant and drinkable.
