Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton, 23/10/12. Heaped, slightly misted gold. Lemon-zested grapefruit, perfumed mango and dragonfruit, passing spliff nose. Mildly hallucinogenic, perfumed, tropical palate wafting with tea, greenery, celery hints, lime zest. Pretty lush. But having a Citra next... evergreen0199 (3460) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2012
Cask at St Albans beer festival 2012. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes bitter, hoppy, citrus fruit. Not quite up to Oakhams usual standard this one but still perfectly acceptable. BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2012
Hand-pulled pint in the brewery owned ‘Barton Arms’, Birmingham on 18th Sep 2012 during a mini-pub-crawl.
Pale golden colour with a hint of a haze: on top a full white head.
The nose was full of aromas: I thought Mango’s and Peaches which would normally put me off, but although the smells were of tropical and sweet fruits the taste seemed more normal with a malt presence that counteracted the aroma somewhat.
Strange brew and one of the few Oakham beers I’ve actually liked: would have had another to confirm the flavours but we were on a mission and couldn’t stay any longer.

Lovely zingy fruity hop aroma - classic Oakham. Duller in the mouth, it just falls flat and turns into a sticky hoppy bitter. I think Anna got a sip of a different sample during the day, maybe hers was better...
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Golden with a bubbly foam. Aromas are biscuit with light caramel and bready yeast with spices. As this is an Oakham brew - mixed tropical fruit with melon, gooseberry, melon and grapefruit. Spicy, clean and grassy with a light woodiness. Flavours are sweet pineapple and caramel with bitter lemon and pithy grapefruit. Melon with oak and light pine. Spicy and dry to finish. Excellent.

Hand pulled at the Bartons Arms, Birmingham. Golden ale. Smells great - like an elaborate air freshener. Taste is really excellent - super tropicality MIT passion fruit, mango, guava. Apparently contains guarana, which may lead to the dry finish. Great stuff. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 9, 2012
On cask at The Cambridge Blue. Pours a light golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of lemon, grassy hops, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nicely bitter and quite dry to finish. Theydon_Bois (20427) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 9, 2012
Cask at Tap East - 06/09/12.
Clear pale yellow with a good frothy white head. Excellent lacing ensues all the way down the glass.
Nose is of floral hops, grapefruit, pine, citrus and mandarin orange.
Tastes of floral hops, orange pith, peach, mango, grapefruit with a lingering bitter dry finish.
Medium body and moderate carbonation.
Excellent fresh tasting stuff!
