The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Greenish golden body, medium head. Taste is a nice balance of sweet fruit malt and grapefruit hops; the hops are very apparent, but it does not skew too bitter or unbalanced.

fiveacestx (970) - Texas, USA - DEC 14, 2016
Large bottle - Pours yellow with a thin head. A citrus aroma and a lemon citrus and grass taste. Medium body but unfortunately the finish is metallic.

kaserov (799) - Oviedo, SPAIN - DEC 12, 2016

Citra is one of my favorite hops and Oakham does a good job at featuring it. Aroma is tangerine and orange. Some dankness in the flavor representative of the hop flavor and a good bitter finish. Not bad from a UK beer.

SebBrews (185) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - NOV 16, 2016
Pours a clear pale color with minimal head. Aroma: citrusy-limey, grass, pine. Taste is mildly bitter. Lime, pine, grass, elderflower cordial. Light body, lively carbonation, bitter finish. Very refreshing.

Jonb5 (550) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2016
Bottle from M&S. A: Fairly pale, no head, clear. S: Grapefruit and lime cordial. T: Lime, wheat and grapefruit, started with a hit of sharpness which gave way a bitter finish. M: Not much carbonation felt flat, medium body. O: Tasted very much like it was trying to imitate SNPA, didn’t do a bad job, but not necessarily one to seek out again.

Served in a tullip from a 500ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is grass, orange, gooseberry, grapefruit, mango. Taste is mango, gooseberry, grapefruit, zesty with a nice dry bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Excellent beer!!!

Jimbo2 (503) - DENMARK - OCT 15, 2016
Very surprising, pleasant experience. Full of fruity hops, grassy, piney, good body for only 4,2.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. This is the first beer in a while that upon getting the aroma I have gone Wow ! Huge huge hoppy Citra aroma. Outstanding taste for a 4.6 % beer. Very refreshing considering how bitter this bad boy is !! Lovely the only thing I would say is I got a bit of a grass (weed) type smell of it, not that it’s a bad thing but might put some people off. Will defo be buying again though.

GreenCat (126) - SLOVENIA - SEP 30, 2016
0,5l bottle. Pours golden crystal clear with frothy quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is citrus and some sweet muskmelon scent. Flavor is citrus, grapefruit and some gooseberry tropical notes. Body is light with medium mellow bitterness that lasts a long time. Carbonation is average, finish is dry.
