The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Very pale gold, very thin bubbly white head. Distinctive citrus, hop aroma. Lovely finish good biting bitterness. Just gorgeous, it’s light, lovely, lovley hop, dry, a little grassy. Great finish, great condition, beer of the festival.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2013 Gravity cask at Reading BF. Pale gold with a lively white head. Typical quality hop parcel from Oakham. Lemon and grapefruit hop bitterness are there in force though the single hop variety creates a less complex profile than is usually the case from this brewer. Excellent balance by the buscuity malt backbone. 3.8/5 Superb!.
Rerate after many l more pints on numerous occasions. This beer is consistantly excellent in cask and bottle. 4.3/5

Cask, gravity, at The Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Pale gold with a small white head. Delicate floral hop aroma with some citrus. Pineapple and citrus in the taste. Mid bitter finish. Not my favourite style, but I acknowledge and pay tribute to the crisp subtlety and precise detailing of this one.

Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Golden with a small off-white foam. Aromas are very floral with lots of fresh, green hops. Resinous grapefruit and lemon. Very hoppy and well perfumed. Flavours are crisp citrus with resinous, bitter grapefruit. Has a real bite to it. Dry on the finish. Very good.
