The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2017 Citra is one of my favourite beers. It’s very hoppy and is a very nice session beer. But it’s bigger, stronger brother - Green Devil, also by Oakham Ales - is another of the beers that they regularly have on at my local pub on a permanent basis.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2017 500 ml bottle. Pours a golden hay colour with white frothy head. Fruity on the nose with hints of grapefruit and grass. Very smooth in taste, citrus fruit well balanced with a malty finish.

Excellent aroma and flavour, good bitterness, above average carbonation and dry finish. Very refreshing. Beats many so called session AIPAs. This is by far my favourite go to APA. Great taste and available in many local shops :D. Best example of how good a single hop can be.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrus with a good hop presence. Taste is much of the same with a prominent bitterness. Good.

One will really find the characteristics of the Ckrra hops in this refreshing, bitter and tasty English beer.

18. 6. 2017, Premier pub, Ljubljana. Bottled. Nice fresh fruity feel to it, but oveshadowed with a beit to much hops for my taste. Even the taste is predominantly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks cloudy light yellow. Excellent fruity aroma right from the start. Hop forwarded, soft citrus fruits with almost no bitterness. Light and dry palate makes it highly drinkable. Very good, especially for the summer days.
