Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Murky yellow with a small head. Really nice aroma of hops, floral citrusy and some berries, grapes? Taste is hoppy and refreshing, smooth palate. Quite better and longlasting aftertaste. Good good.

Citra is one of my favorite hops and Oakham does a good job at featuring it. Aroma is tangerine and orange. Some dankness in the flavor representative of the hop flavor and a good bitter finish. Not bad from a UK beer.

Bottle from M&S. A: Fairly pale, no head, clear. S: Grapefruit and lime cordial. T: Lime, wheat and grapefruit, started with a hit of sharpness which gave way a bitter finish. M: Not much carbonation felt flat, medium body. O: Tasted very much like it was trying to imitate SNPA, didnt do a bad job, but not necessarily one to seek out again.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. This is the first beer in a while that upon getting the aroma I have gone Wow ! Huge huge hoppy Citra aroma. Outstanding taste for a 4.6 % beer. Very refreshing considering how bitter this bad boy is !! Lovely the only thing I would say is I got a bit of a grass (weed) type smell of it, not that its a bad thing but might put some people off. Will defo be buying again though.

0,5l bottle. Pours golden crystal clear with frothy quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is citrus and some sweet muskmelon scent. Flavor is citrus, grapefruit and some gooseberry tropical notes. Body is light with medium mellow bitterness that lasts a long time. Carbonation is average, finish is dry.

50 cl. bottle shared with [email protected] in straight [email protected] 7 degrees c. Pours dark amber with medium off-white head. Clear hoppy aroma with lots of citric and pine notes with very subdued malt. The nose is very much reflected in the taste, where the herbal qualities of Citra hop, coupled with the aforementioned citurssy, grapefruity notes is very present. Low/medium carbonation and slightly watery, but given the ABV, it has lots of good hop taste, with a lasting, bitter aftertaste - again that grapefruit with a twist of pine. Nice APA - though you need ot be fond of your American hops!
