Cask and bottle; Regular. 4.2% in cask.
The first of our single hop variety beers. We were the first brewery in the UK to use Citra. The beer proved so popular that we will be brewing it again. Permanent from January 2011.
A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours lightly hazed clear gold with decent white head, with some lace. Aromas of oats, pine, citrus, lychees and grass over a light malt toffee canvas. Medium light body, med-high carbonation; hints of toasted malts, sweet light caramel but citrus and lychees round out the hop flavour, finishing light refreshing and hoppy.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrus with a good hop presence. Taste is much of the same with a prominent bitterness. Good.

One will really find the characteristics of the Ckrra hops in this refreshing, bitter and tasty English beer.

18. 6. 2017, Premier pub, Ljubljana. Bottled. Nice fresh fruity feel to it, but oveshadowed with a beit to much hops for my taste. Even the taste is predominantly bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks cloudy light yellow. Excellent fruity aroma right from the start. Hop forwarded, soft citrus fruits with almost no bitterness. Light and dry palate makes it highly drinkable. Very good, especially for the summer days.

Pours golden clear with medium white head. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruits, kiwi, grapefruit, some berries, light bitterness, dry. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, some berries, light resin, some bitterness, orange peel, light grass, some sweet floral notes. Very refreshing and fruity beer!

Yep! It's pungent! The taste followed the nose it's hoppy - big on the grapefruit and small on the gooseberry notes. I didn't detect any details of lychee to soften the acrid pithiness. Very little head but masses of carbonation giving a counterintuitive smoothness to the mouthfeel. It's waaaay to dry for my tastes, but taste it does have in abundance and if dryness is what you enjoy this will hit the spot.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - A very nice English IPA. A bitter flavour of hops, but with a floral element lurking in the background. A very nice beer for the end of a busy Sunday

Bottle at home. Light gold in colour with a thin white head. Nice aroma of zesty grapefruit and pineapple. Sweetish with a bitter edge. Juicy fruit and more flavours of grapefruit. Dry finish.
