Aroma: bread and grain malts, light caramel, some dark fruits. Appearance: clear, dark gold, small, creamy, white head. Taste: light bitter and sweet. Palate: exotic fruits, zesty, citrus fruits, some floral hops, lightly dry and bitter in the finish. Overall: very nice IPA, fantastic palate. Pint at Cat & Canary, Canary Wharf.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Gold to amber with white head. There is a rich maltiness to this initially, sharp and just a hint metallic. The hops kick through, reasonably floral and resinous, grapefruit zestiness. Another very decent beer from Oakham.

Cask at CBC, Brixton. Pour an amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet, sherry aroma with caramel too. Medium body with sherry in the flavour alongside some toffee, toast, burnt caramel, booze, a hint of citrus. It's rich and flavoursome. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Cask at The Rake, Borough, London, 27 Apr 2013) Dark amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, toast, orange and dried apricots. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, apricots, orange marmalade and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. A bit strong, but quite well balanced and tasty. Nice one.
