Cask at Bartons Arms, Birmingham on 28th December 2013. Copper with loose off-white foam. Spicy and grassy aromas with bicuit malts and touch of smoke. Exquisite smokiness and grassiness in-mouth; delicate grapefruit citrus late. Finish is delicately bitter, citric and grassy with the grapefruit note first to fade leaving a satisfying lingering bitterness. Superb. leaparsons (10656) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2014
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Amber brown with a bubbly off white foam. Aromas are brown sugar with weetabix and grapefruit. Blackberries with light mango and leafy, nutty aspects. Some white grape with spices. Flavours are weetabix malts with juicy fruit and bittersweet grapefruit. Mellow white grape juice makes it very drinkable. Almost a brown IPA. Cask conditioned handpump Wellington Birmingham 17/12/1 A golden coloured beer with a loose white head. Grapefruit in the nose and in the mouth where it is joined by some tropical elements. Some sweetness from the malts which don’t perfectly gel but it doesn’t mean it’s not tasty as Oakham almost always is. Scopey (15267) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2013
Cask at the Old Fountain. It pours clear amber with medium beige head. The nose is earthy, skunky, grass, pine, toffee, urine and citrus. the taste is bitter-sweet, pine, skunky hops, good deal of bitterness, caramel, varnish, wood polish, earth, grapefruit and orange peel with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good depth of flavour. Another example of why Oakham are kings of cask ale. Delicious.

Gravity, The Crown, Nuneaton, 06/12/13. Clear bronze dappling with white. Huge stinky nose of cat, lychee, blackcurrant, sweaty ganja and mandarin. Fantastic stewed curry leaf, grapefruit and mandarin over solid digestive and nut husk foundations. Sticks around- bitter and aromatic. Classic Oakham, with a tweak more colour and malt than is usual.
