3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Golden brown with a white foam. Aromas are caramel and cereal with autumn leaves and mellow lemon. Hints of rye with stewed apple and some lager character. Flavours are biscuit with brown sugar and light lemon. Lightly nutty with a peppery palate. Not the usual hoppy Oakham treat.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Amber hued Golden, with pondy, scum-spot head, which is tres shallow. Hmmm, not massively brilliant and way below Oakham’s enormously high standards. Lots of coin flavour (Bish would love it), unspecific boiled sweet, lagery hops and bad UK Bitter moments. A bit of a cardboard let down.
