[email protected] Criterion, Leicester. Reddish brown beer with a bubbly head. The aroma is malty and hopped and the flavour is very sweet and very bitter. Overall a too sweet beer.

DanielBrown (4502) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2006
Hand pulled at the Criterion, Leicester. Really hardcore hops. Varnished finish, lasting and tart. The hop is sweet to start with, with a double IPA style flavour. Chestnut colour. Challenging and full.

Cask, gravity, at Pig’s B’ear Festival ’10 at The Pig ’n’ Falcon, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Dark amber. Sour fruits in the aroma as well as malt. Thick, spicy rounded malt taste, full of hiddenh depths: fruit pastilles, leather, redcurrant. Mid bitter finish. You could analyse this too much.

evergreen0199 (3365) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2009
Cask at W’Spoons Southgate Nth London. Deep brown colour, malty and some toffee and of course the hops. Also a little musty as if an antique beer. US influenced, pretty good find.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 23, 2009
Cask at the New Crown (JDW) in Southgate. Thanks Magicdave! Dark amber. Great malty caramel flavour. Rich, full bodied yet very drinkable. A great example of a strong ale.

ladnewton (1961) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2017
Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 9th January 2017. Copper with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Intense hoppy and pungent aroma. Sweet malts, and a rich-and-intense fruitiness in-mouth with abundant sweet tangerine, zesty orange and fine grapefruit. A tangy citrus, velvety finish. Full bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. Exquisite.

Cask real ale tasted at Gallows Bird RAF 2010. Strong sourish nose with some hints of old cheese. Thin pale head. Dark nutty copper brown colour. Roasty malty taste. Bitter hoppiness.
