Tart gooseberry and soft peach on the nose. Gooseberries and fruit to taste, before an intense bitterness that’s as sharp as a macaw’s screech!

mcberko (18998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 9, 2017
500mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out boiled vegetables and biscuity malt. Flavour is a little better, with herbal hops. light vegetal notes, and biscuity malt. Better on the palate than the nose. It’s decent.

Cask. Pours honey gold with white foam top. Aroma straw and pale malt. Taste dry pine bitter with a background of tropical fruits that sour on the palate and thus accentuating the bitterness. There are others in the Oakham stable that I prefer

Maakun (6452) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle shared some time past best before date. Slight hazy golden with white head. Lots of lychees, sweet malts, light grass and herbs. Medium sweet and light bitter. I guess some of the bitterness has gone. It’s still quite fruity though. Just medium bodied. Past it’s prime, but still not bad.

Bottle. Golden in colour. Slight head. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus, peach, lemon in the finish. Very Hoppy; citrusy hops, grassy notes, nice hop bitterness. Malty; pale malts, caramel. Bitter citrus fruity hoppy throughout becoming increasingly bitter into the dry finish. Very drinkable. Decent. (2014-04-29)
