Cask @ Gallows Bird RAF 2013. Pours a yellowish orange. Aroma is lemon, lemon peel, citrus, grapefruit peel. Taste is a lot of the lemon and lemon peel as well. Definitely hop forward. Light biscuitiness on the finish. Pine and grapefruit on the aftertaste. Palate is light.

Bottle shared some time past best before date. Slight hazy golden with white head. Lots of lychees, sweet malts, light grass and herbs. Medium sweet and light bitter. I guess some of the bitterness has gone. Its still quite fruity though. Just medium bodied. Past its prime, but still not bad.

Bottle. Golden in colour. Slight head. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus, peach, lemon in the finish. Very Hoppy; citrusy hops, grassy notes, nice hop bitterness. Malty; pale malts, caramel. Bitter citrus fruity hoppy throughout becoming increasingly bitter into the dry finish. Very drinkable. Decent. (2014-04-29)

tombyars (1640) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - NOV 15, 2016
Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) on the 3rd November 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Weak malty aroma with notes of green apple and a slight hint of boiled eggs. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with tart gooseberry fruit coming through in the mouth. Dry dusty hop resins impart a metallic tang to the bitter aftertaste but not cloyingly fortunately. Slight malt present in the weak finish with tart fruit still evident in the palate. Lacking in depth of flavour and complexity compared to other Blonde Ales at a similar ABV.

Taste: tart citrus fruity, gooseberry, caramel, slight sweetness followed by a pronounced and lingering bitterness. Soft-medium carbonation, medium body, bitter aftertaste. Quite drinkable.

This is good. Pours gold with creamy head. Malty bready nose. Smooth mouthfeel. Lovely bitter crisp taste with sweet note on follow through. Stupidly drinkable.
