Cask, gravity, at 34th Bedford Real Ale and Cider Festival. Gold. Citric aroma: grapefruit and mango or melon. Thick grapefruit taste and a bitter finish. I really don’t like this sort of beer, which is becoming very common. And I don’t like the fact they spell ’tranquillity’ wrongly. fonefan (48633) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2011

Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer, residual white head. Light dry palate. Sweetish and slighlty minerally hops. Seamless blend of orange, lemon and lime citrus. Lovely!
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2010 Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Pale gold with a greenish tinge and spittle of halo. Lush stewed hop leafiness and tropical fruit aroma not so far from Mikkeller Nelson Sauvin; NZ Chardonnay, grape and passion fruit, peach, pineapple, blackcurrant...erm, ’dog pissed on by a cat’, according to my notes. Complex- one of those beers that just get me reeling every fruit I know off the top of my head. An authentic, contemporary US-style IPA...but better. Rounded and wine gummy with lemon zest, blackcurrant and tropical Starburst; quite a lot of honeyed, white toast, cashew balance for Oakham but just..dripping with hop loveliness, really. What a shame I’m going to work. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2010
