Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in September 2003. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear golden amber in colour with a thin white head. Floral hops and sherbert lemon on the short nose. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a juicy fruit flavour of lemon peel and kiwi. Bitter hop resins impart a dry dusty aftertaste which combines well with the malt. Finish is increasingly dry and pithy with astringent notes full in the mouth. A below par session Wheat Ale. KyotoLefty (10262) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 9, 2011
Cask at GBBF 2011, 3rd day.
Medium blonde. Clean grassy aroma. Light pilsner-like malts, nice grassy hops. Very bitter. Great balance.

Pours hazy golden with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma is malty, peach, wheat, pine and grass. Low carbonation, fine dryness and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasant, bitter, pine, grass, citrus. Zesty and feisty. Long, lingering delicious bitter finish. Nice.

Gravicask at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon for their bank holiday weekend beer fest. Pale gold beer, Residual white head. Dry palate. Light grapefruit - bitterish. A sweet something going on, trace of peach. Dry finish. Ok - could do with more ooomph!
Cask at The Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield. Slightly cloudy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aroma is clear citrus hops and some floral notes. Not very wheat-like but does what Oakham do, good honest English beer. planky84 (3259) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2011
Cask at the ’Grape and Grain’ Spring beer festival, 2011. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Aromas of banana, pineapple and herbs. Flavours of light citrus and pineapple. Sharp bitter, fruit finish. mjs (7336) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2010
(Cask at Bree Louise, London) This beer was very citric. There were citricness both in aroma and in taste. Aroma had some yeast, too, which didn’t really fit in so well. Maltiness was quite low which wasn’t really a surprise. Aftertaste was long lasting and bitter. Nice. dynamiteninja (1864) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2010
Cask. The Criterion, Leicester. Thin white head, pale gold body. Wheat, caramel. Bittersweet. Bitter finish. Rather nice... a refreshing brew.
