Cask at Ealing. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Modeerate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice flowery flavor. Long moderate bitter fnish. Creamy palate. Nice.
Bottle at home. Pours a clear, light bronze colour with a thin head. Pungent aroma of skunky hop, malt and floral orange. Taste is very bitter. Lots of flavour: sweet juicy malt, more orange marmalade and a dry, herbal bitterness. The label suggests aniseed and I do not disagree. Long, rich finish, ending dry. A great beer on lots of levels and recommended. SilkTork (5806) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2015
JDW, Southampton - Admiral. Lovely citric flavours in a malt full of character. If all hoppy beers had such a great malt base it would make all the difference. Bags of flavours, baby of character, lovely drop to drink. potable53 (8) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2015 does not count

Cask at the Michael Bacon JDW, blond with a fine white head anda citrus hoppy nose. Powerfully dry-bitter on the palate, yet with an earthy note and an underlying maltiness, it’s almost like an English take on an American IPA. allmyvinyl (10932) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 2, 2014
