Bottle. Smokey cocoa and cola aroma. Dark brown color with giant tan head. Tart/lightly astringent smokey chocolate/toffee malt flavor. Nice full body plus really enoy the smokiness.

On gravity at the London Drinker festival 12/3/08. Near black with a decent tan head that left plenty of lacing. Big aromas of roasted malt, black fruit and dark chocolate. Full in the mouth with plenty of milk chocolate and fruit flavours, before some earthy hops and a dent bitter finish. Excellent.

Cask-A very good example of a mild in my opinion. A fairly nice roasted malt aroma along with a bittersweet taste with a very mild and subtle hop flavour.

Bottled. Dark brown with a big beige foam. Well-balanced aroma of nuts, milky chocolate roasted malts and wet grass. Smooth and flavourfull of nuts, chocolate and subtle grassy hops. Nuts, milky chocolate and dried fruit in the crisp finish.

500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. A pleasant roasty mild. Very easy drinking and nicely flavoursome. An attractive tobacco rub bitterness in the finish. Everything is held together firmly. A damn good low abv bottled beer - fresh and tasty!

Bottle-conditioned. Brown-edged black with little head. Oily roasty aroma. Great swirl of chocolatey/cocoa-y flavours, some slight bitter burnt notes and a touch of powdery hop. Long roasty, bitter finish. A good full-flavoured mild.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a light, creamy tan head. Roasted malts aroma with chocolate. Good roasted flavours, very dry throughout, chocolate towards the finish. Light-bodied. A very nice mild.
