Bottle: Pours a deep brown, near black color. Topped with a thick and creamy tan head. Sort of minimal spice aroma, but enough cinnamon and nutmeg to get the point across. Roast and faint cocoa. The flavor is lightly bittersweet, roasted malt, and a lighter amount of spice. Good stuff. The spice plays a supporting role to the ale and I like that.

Bottle from OR in LA. Pours jet black. Spice aroma - mostly cinammon - but then more subtle in the flavour. Cocoa and spices are subtle but the base is a nice porter so it works well. doesnt feel imperial, but the alcohol catches up. Enjoyable beer, a porter at heart not a spice beer and thats a good thing.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, cocoa, cinnamon, allspice and clove. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of cocoa, roasted malt and spice with a smooth dry lingering spiced finish.

2015 bottling... Had the last couple of years, but havent gotten around to the review until tonight.. Bottle picked up at the COOP for about $7ish.. Standard porter look with a decent tannish head.. Aroma and flavor are nice and dry, cocoa and light roasty malt barely carries the light spice... Definitely digging the light hand with the sweet spices.. I appreciate that it isnt overly sweet or malty .. Nice and drinkable for a PNW pumpkin brew.. Not my favorite style ever, but this one is light and hits on all the right notes.

Beautiful black color and. Nutmeg and cinnamon aroma. I was certain that this beer should have been enjoyed a year ago when we bought it but my GF has a weird pumpkin thing and it was her last pumpkins thing. Now that it is pumpkin time again she is ok with letting go and opening. Well... I was right. Didn't age that well over that much time.

Deep dark brown with a faint ruby highlight around the edge of the glass with a wee tight foamy light beige head. Lovely roasty sweet aroma with pumpkin spice and cinnamon and sugar dark malts. Maybe a touch of coffee as well. The flavor is nice and dark with a nice earthy sweet touch. Theres a subtle pumpkin spice note alongside some dark toast and black roast malt. Not shabby. Finishes with a bit of pumpkin.

From a bottle into a goblet. The pour is a dark red brown with a white minimum white head. Theres a lot of spice to this beer which kinda is overpowering but the backbone, chocolate and roast malt flavors make this still a good beer.

Poured from a bottle into an ale glass. Aroma of pumpkin, roasted malt, chocolate and a little nutmeg. Pours very dark and thick, almost no light can pass through. Thick head with small bubbles, tan colored. Starts malty sweet, then finishes with bitterness from hops. Medium body, modest carbonation, some alcohol. Liked it.
