Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with a small, rough off-white head. Heavy alcohol in the nose but also an interesting an unusual hop blend - I feel I detect some Sorachi Ace, but that’s probably wishful thinking. Rich body, lovely caramel, a lovely Bourbon character and quite a bozy finish. I really dig this! 160612 nimbleprop (8761) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 2, 2012
22oz bottle pours a hazy, caramel brown with one ring of white head. Nose is nice, oxidized, leather, orange, caramel, a little vanilla, vodka, honey, malt. Flavor is sweet, leathery, mint, orange, raisin, caramel, some apple sauce, brown sugar, cardboard. Full bodied, sticky finish. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 25, 2012
murky tan, thin wispy white ring head, light lacing. Oily body, cookie nose with light soy and sugar. Lots of sugar and booze, gritty mid with caramel throughout. Dead body, better and watery. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 11, 2012

22oz bottle shared by ygtbsm94: Pours a clear dark copper bronze with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet dark caramel and bourbon vanilla oak nose with a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with pretty good fullness and dark caramel sweetness with a smooth vanilla oak and bourbon character before a slightly warming, drier finish. Pretty well-balanced and complex.

651mL red wax thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a hazy deep good to amber with a diminishing whiter head. Sweet bourbon and honey nose with small bacon fat and tawny malt character. Taste is salty, mild bourbon sweetness, with decent hop bitterness remaining. Very nice. Bitter dark chocolate finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours caramel brown. Tan head. Nose/taste of candied dark fruit, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla and nuts. Finishes with hint of warming alcohol. Medium body could be a little fuller given the ABV. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 4, 2012
On tap at Brouwer’s Hard Liver ’12. Pours a dark cola brown, with a big, dark tan head. Moldy fruit on the nose. Yuck. Skunky hops blend with what would otherwise have been a good barley wine, throwing it far off track. I wasn’t a fan of this one. bhensonb (15760) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours amber ruddy brown. Aroma is very floral over mildly burnt caramel/brown sugar. Mabye a little vanilla. Med+ body. Flavor is floral, bourbon/vanilla. finishes just slightly sweet. No heat. Good drink.
