Bottle... This beer rocks!... Cloudy burnt-orange ale with a small creamy, white head. The bouquet is a melange of caramel, coconut, bourbon and vanilla. Full-bodied and silky with soft carbonation. The flavor provides smooth bourbon warmth and gobs of caramel. Although this bottle is approaching two years of age, the hops are still kicking. Finishes coconuty, bourbony and malty with a finale of acute, lingering hop bitterness. Much thanks to pantanap for shipping this world class treat my way!

Bottle shared with Steve and co, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks, Armin! Brown appearance with a light brown head. Oaky, mild piney hoppy, caramel, toffee, fig aroma. Somewhat piney hoppy, caramel malty, toffee, oaky flavor. Pretty good brew.

Botttle from John’s Grocery, Portland. Pours dark brown with no head and a cat piss and treacle aroma. There is a plum and vanilla flavor with a bourbon finish. Leaves bitterness on the palate. Complex and tasty.

651mL red wax thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a hazy deep good to amber with a diminishing whiter head. Sweet bourbon and honey nose with small bacon fat and tawny malt character. Taste is salty, mild bourbon sweetness, with decent hop bitterness remaining. Very nice. Bitter dark chocolate finish. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with thin slightly off white head, aroma brings notes of dark fruit, toffee, some caramel, slight smoke, roast, some vanilla and bourbon notes, hints of roast and dry oaky notes as well. Taste is a nice mix of oak and sweet bourbon, some vanilla, dark fruit, some slight caramel and bitter earth notes, the oak really dries it out well at the end. Dig this stuff!

Pours hazy muddy copper – brown with thin white head. The aroma has wood like notes, booze, spicy wood, maybe some spicy rye too and a nice sweet earthy fig like sensation. The taste is yummy with a big load of blunted pine hops followed by a bit of citrus and then molasses, wood and some vanilla. It comes across boozy too but right to style. Yummy and it comes together very well.

22oz bottle pours a hazy, caramel brown with one ring of white head. Nose is nice, oxidized, leather, orange, caramel, a little vanilla, vodka, honey, malt. Flavor is sweet, leathery, mint, orange, raisin, caramel, some apple sauce, brown sugar, cardboard. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is fruity and malty with notes of fruity hops, oak and biscuits. The flavour is bourbon, oak, malt, caramel and some booze. Quite boozy finish. The bourbon is mostly in front in the flavour.
