651mL red wax thanks to ygtbsm94. Pours a hazy deep good to amber with a diminishing whiter head. Sweet bourbon and honey nose with small bacon fat and tawny malt character. Taste is salty, mild bourbon sweetness, with decent hop bitterness remaining. Very nice. Bitter dark chocolate finish. Very nice.

Unclear medium amber orange colour with a small, frothy, good to fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, bourbon. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic.
Cheers to Tooch4321 for hooking me up with this one. Cheers, Adam! Pours a hazy orange-brown with a white head. Nose is caramel, toffee, dates, booze, oak, and whiskey. Flavor follows with booze, toffee, bourbon, and caramel all over and a hint of raisiny-dates in the background soaking in whiskey. Light to medium in body and boozy but redeemable overall. Decadent and rich, but still has another year or two. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2011

Last beer tasted with the Chicago guys, thanks again. Brown pour with good carbonation. Aroma was as I expected, brown sugar, malty, sweet and boozy, same goes for the flavor. Easy to drink but I don’t typically reach for BA barely wines all that much so I wouldn’t search this one out again. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - SEP 4, 2011
Appearance: Pours a rust orange no head.blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Aroma: Huge alcohol along with danky peach and apricot.
Taste: Big bitter aggressive hops, hot bourbon and sweet malt. Finishes hot.
Mouth. Hot, sticky full body. Modestly carbonated.
Overall: I believe this beer needs to lay down for a minimum of a year to chill out. I get it now....Hellshire. There was so much going on, it hid the barrel character, or at least it pummeled my palate to the point I couldn’t notice much.
bottled, thanks to ericandersnavy, hazy orange color with aroma of spice, whiskey and metal, flavor has a metal edge to it to go along with the brown sugar, whiskey and orange, palate was getting thin
