Though retired, a buddy of mine had one and we had for a tasting/share.
Yup, my buddy says 2012 that this was bottled.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark brown close to black color with an ample half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was a light bubbly lacing.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet sugary vanilla to a light bourbon - esque subtly of a slight brown sugar.
The taste was extremely sweet with a moderate malty sweet chocolate. There’s a light sweet dried chocolate aftertaste leaving a slight dry slick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly good sipping quality about it. The carbonation was good for me and for the style.
Overall, good as a foreign stout. I’d have it again. Travlr (24307) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 3, 2014

Bottle: Brown color with a tan head. Sweet coffee aroma with alcohol in it as well. Super tasty - tootsie rolls infused with alcohol. Thin body with a sweet finish. Very nice. douglas88 (9058) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 1, 2014
Bottle from the Upper Lip. Pours a pitch black color with a medium brown head. A big barrel nose, oak, chocolate, ash. The flavor is huge bourbon, sweet and boozy, a bit of ash and dark bittersweet chocolates. The slick smooth palate is great. A bit of charred wood, vanilla, toffee. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is strong wood, oak, english yeast. Thin mouthfeel with nice oak, roast, dark chocolate, light bitterness, lingering dry finish. Good. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Chocolatey, roasty, mellow bourbon. Smooth and drinkable; far better than the (often infected) Hellshire I & II. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 14, 2014
Pours big black, fluffy tan head
Smell big roast, oak, char, sweet bourbon vanilla
Taste whisky up front, roast coco mid, vanilla and brown sugar tail, bit of heat and booze
Above averaged, finally a good Hellshire! phaleslu (10101) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 19, 2013
Draft sample at FOBAB 2013. Pours a deep, opaque brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts, molasses, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, toasted brown sugar, oak, and a hint of coffee. Medium-bodied, with a roasty, toasty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Seems like it was rich and roasty before the barrel, and picks up some nice balancing barrel sweetness and toastiness. Really well-done barrel aging. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Thinner brew, dark malt flavors and some spice, hot, boozy and bourbonny as well.
