On draught at Oswego Grill. Dark maltiness paired with a not too bitter hop presence.
Pours a finger and half of head on a brown body. Aroma is caramel and lemon. Taste has mild caramel, dark fruit sweet. There’s an odd bitterness in the middle. Texture is thicker. BuckeyeBoy (8860) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 22, 2016
22oz bottle pours out a brownish amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nutty wood notes spice roast malts and some earthy hops. Taste is more of the wood earthy notes a spice and plenty of the malty sweetness. Braudog (6900) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Bottle. Pours a ruddy brown, with a respectable top of sturdy foam. The aroma is unusual and I can’t quite pin it ... almost cough medicine-like, but not off-putting. This drinks with a fruity flourish, like a sweet cherry bake. There’s also a nice little bitter edge that tops this off quite nicely. 22 oz bottle. Pours ruby amber brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and laces the glass.mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 13, 2015
The aroma is perfumey roasted caramel malts and vanilla with a little fruit.
The flavor is sweet nutty perfumey caramel malts with with some vanilla and dark fruit and a green slightly harsh bitter finish that’s a little plasticky. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an OK winter warmer.
22 oz. bottle, pours a dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and bready caramel malt. Flavour is similar, with bready malt and a little toasted nuts. Pretty dull and lifeless. But it’s okay.

Bottle - Woody dirty notes. Deep clear brown with a small beige head. Deep roots brown malts and a long dry Woody finish. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 21, 2015
Bottle picked up at the COOP.. Poured into my little Cigar City goblet.. Clear deep amber with a nice pillowy khaki head. piney hops with plenty of dark toasty malt and hints of cocoa.. Nuttiness with the malt as it warms up a bit, bigger bitterness and the pine hops are on the palate, but not quite as much as I want.. Still no problems... Good hops and malt balance... Expected PNW take on a winter beer... If I was drinking this blind, I would guess an Amber Ale with a nice sharpness to the overall package. Bomber. Light caramel and toffee malt aroma with notes of piney hops. Pours Amber colored with half a finger of tan head with good retention and no lacing. Starts with light caramel and toffee sweetness, but not a lot. Finishes dry with with a good piney hop bite at the end that lingers on the palate. Not bad.
