Ferris (17070) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 30, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2014 Bottle - Banana, tropical fruit, grass and citrus. Hazy gold with a rich white head. Stone fruit, yeast with some light peppery notes in the finish. Not bad.

Lubiere (14240) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2013
A hazed golden saison with a super thick frothy white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, fruity esters, citrusy, coriander notes, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with curacao, coriander, cream cream and bananas, silky, very nice. Bottle from LCBO.

The Rhino winterfest. A bit funky. Not so drinkable although smooth mouthfeel. Just off-putting spices that were more like a biere de garde. Lasting head.

2013-02-10. Hazy pastel dark yellow body, small white head and lace. 3+ Yeasty aroma, dryish grassy wheat like notes. Whispers of lemon? Flavour is similar, on the mild side, dry grassy hops, mild lightly wheat pale malt. Light bitterness throughout. Average bodied palate. Enjoyable, a bit mild but rather nice. Quaffable. Rhino Winter Festival, Toronto

Bottle, shared with TylerDurden. Cloudy orange-tinted gold topped by a thick white meringue (the picture here captures it perfectly!). Aroma of fruity yeast and light malts. Flavours of fresh pineapple and lemon, nice rustic yeast character, biscuit malts, lightly spicy. I thought this was a great saison.

MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 1, 2014
My Bottom Line:
This doughy and cushy Saison shares plenty of rusticity and fruitiness alongside polite herbal hoppiness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A towering head of foam decorates the hazy straw blond.
-From nose to finish, this is very authentic.
-Bready malts and yeast character are nicely harmonious.
-Effervescence is intense and its big bubbles help to air out the mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 Bottle - hazy pale golden pour. Thick white head. The aroma is lovely - bright spicy yeast with a touch of clove and some faint dustiness as well. A touch of damp earthiness (biere de garde-like) but it also has a touch of soft citrus top notes. Fairly peppery with a little bit of soft cologne like character. Really lovely. I can’t tell if they’ve done some tweaking, but this is a really fantastic brew. I definitely underrated it last time around. Cloudy pale yellow pour. Huge rocky head. The nose is wheaty and a little bit spicy. A touch of orange and some lemon as well. Medium-bodied and a little bit sweet on the finish. Sort of a wheat/saison hybrid. Interesting. 7 3 7 3 14

[5118-20130210] Bottle. Yeasty saison aroma. Hazy, light orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. More mild yeasty grasses in the flavour. Medium body. Interesting. (6/3/6/3/14) 3.2

Decent saison. Good head and lacing. Pours golden clear. Some banana on initial smell - I thought it was bubblegum but the guy at the bar corrected me at the Rhino winterfest and hes right about the banana. Carbonation a little above average. A light note of florals as well. On tap.

czar (9601) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2014
pours hazy light and bright golden with a tall creamy whtie head, good retention and lacing. spicy and bready/grainy maltiness, some husks - light astringency, rustic character, cushiony fruitiness too; hint of booze, touch of honey, grass, pepper, mineral traces. lively to average carbonation, light body - oily, dry grassy-herbal-citrusy finish. very lightly tart, balanced, quenching and tasty rustic graininess.
