Nice aroma of citrus, herbs, frothy head, golden amber colour, light sweetness, very yummy!

750ml bottle from the brewery shared with jeff and joel. hazed golden with a big white head. do you know what really good saison is like? is has genuine country, rustic charm. it does not feel polished, it does not feel manufactured. it reminds you that the best things are handmade by artisens that care for there craft. it comes from a little red barn, in a vineyard, in niagara on the lake. this is really good saison.

Poured from bottle into big Bordeaux glass. Quite a lot going on in the aroma. Banana, classic spicy notes from yeast, peppery, musty, moldy, earthy. Taste is very dry, spicy, earthy, less fruit in taste than in aroma, but still there. Long, very dry finish. Mouthfeel was a bit more substantial than with other saisons, very high carbonation. Overall, it might be a bit young, but one of the best saisons I’ve had, gotta go stock up.

Great aroma - floral and sprucey. Looked beautiful - bright sun yellow; somewhat hazy, normal for what I consider to be the classic Belgian farmhouse style; and a bright billowy white head with great retention. Taste was phenomenal - sweet up front like honeydew melon; transitioning to sour lemon, pineapple, tangerine; finishing peppery and pleasantly bitter from the hops. Nice carbonation on the palate, certainly didn’t sit flat. Overall an absolute pleasure for drinking on the deck mid-afternoon after mowing the lawn. There are cheaper saisons on the shelves but I’m glad I decided to pay a little extra and give this one a try!

It comes in a corked 750-millilitre bottle and is unfiltered and bottle-seasoned, which accounts for its slightly cloudy appearance. It has a fruity yeast aroma and some spicy citrus in the flavour. Excellent.

Caged Corked Bottle: Pours a roily unfiltered deep gold-amber. @ finger puffy cap. Aroma of succulent fruits, spice, some honey, some sour and hop grassiness nice nose to it. Spritzy dry character. Pleasant flood of flavours meet the palate - fruits. spices, some tartness very "cidery", spicey hops, peppery mith feel, dry lightly bitter-tart finish. Great saison in the Alsace style - in some ways it is reminisant of La Chouffe blonde.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 Bottle - hazy pale golden pour. Thick white head. The aroma is lovely - bright spicy yeast with a touch of clove and some faint dustiness as well. A touch of damp earthiness (biere de garde-like) but it also has a touch of soft citrus top notes. Fairly peppery with a little bit of soft cologne like character. Really lovely. I can’t tell if they’ve done some tweaking, but this is a really fantastic brew. I definitely underrated it last time around. Cloudy pale yellow pour. Huge rocky head. The nose is wheaty and a little bit spicy. A touch of orange and some lemon as well. Medium-bodied and a little bit sweet on the finish. Sort of a wheat/saison hybrid. Interesting. 7 3 7 3 14

Smells very refreshing, coriander, wheat, belgian yeast and a bit of farmhouse tart character. Very hazy yellow, long lasting white head and streaming bubbles. Aesthetically pleasing. Tart flavors upfront, some citric notes clean middle and finishing with some belgian yeast sweetness, spice and grassy hoppyness. Quite nice. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. Refreshing saison but seems overpriced for what it is.

Corked and caged 750ml. Hazy golden pour, huge, pillowy head. Nice wheat, grassy aroma. Lots of lemon, lemon zest, touches of funk. A spectacular to style saison aroma, a subtle pepper/spiciness, with a gorgeous medium bitter finihs, with loads of cereals, touches of funk, and some grassy hops.

750ml bottle. Hazy golden body with huge white head, excellent retention. Aroma of yeast, wheat, watercress, green grapes, leather, lemon zest. Taste is definitely yeasty, with a good dose of herbal hops, spices, lemon zest. Average carbonation for the style. Very good.
