Sampled at the brewpub. Copper gold with a fluffy off white head. This version is 6.8% ABV. Citrus and caramel aroma. First sip is bitter grapefruit with melons and zest. Simcoe adds some unique flavors to the classic. Funky and thistly. Spicey. Caramel malts adds that flavor plus sweetness that balances nicely. coachd (899) - Missouri, USA - JUN 6, 2016
Floral and citrusy aroma. Very pretty orange color with a small white head. Bitter but not overdone. Palate could be better but overall this offering impressed me.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2015 Decent IPA. Pine and citrus hops, lots of malt balance with a definite sweet caramel note. Pretty good, I was surprised. tmoreau (4591) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2015
32 oz. vessel/1/2 growler brought back from Springfield to share, poured to snifters displaying an orangey gold color, with a modest layer of bubbly, white head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was initially dank, then expressive grapefruit, pith, and some lemon, with a mellowing touch of malt sweetness. Medium bodied, with carbonation that was probably livelier on tap, but softened during transport, the taste was similar notes as the aroma, adding moderate, lingering, earthy, citrusy, and rind-like bitterness, and complementary dryness to the finish. Tasty, drinkable brew. jandd1983 (4544) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a light amber color with a small white head. The aroma was of citrus hops and sweet caramel malt. The taste was similar with a nice bitter hop presence. It had a nicely balanced malt and hop character. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2016 At the brewpub. Nice all around IPA, Herbal hops flavor and aroma with a touch of pine and citrus. Malt balances nicely. Not the biggest hop bomb but not a slouch neither. Serving: Tap
