3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2015 An unusual citrusy hop comes through on this one. Almost peppery? Solid sessionable ales that aren’t overwhelming but still flavorful are something they do well. Serving: Tap
On tap at the source.
This was poured into a plastic pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated within a minute. Light lacing speckled the sides of the glass.
The smell had a sharp crisp citrus with a roaming pine underneath.
The taste copied the smell and gave it a good light piney aftertaste. A light semi-dry finish accompanies the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Its definitely sessionable and worthy to have with its respected food.
Overall, I say this was a well worthy APA to have again. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JAN 14, 2015
[Growler] Clear amber pour with a pillow of white head on top. Great looking lacing on the glass. Citrus and caramel are the main features in the nose. Grapefruit, lemon zest, toffee, caramel, pine needles and mild grainy notes in the taste. Soapy mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Decent. hayduke (5204) - Eureka, California, USA - MAY 8, 2014
On draft at brewpub. In the glass was a rich gold with nice white head. Nose of tropical fruit and floral and citrus hops. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel Flavor is full of fruit with mango and pineapple, and a light bitterness. Nice fruity finish. Really tasty and easy to drink brew. Liked this a great deal. jandd1983 (4318) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAY 6, 2014
Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of citrus, raw grain, floral hops and pine. The taste was moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finished sweet and moderately bitter. Decent. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Draft pint at the brewpub. Definitely my favorite at this fine place ... deep golden, with a good solid sheen and average but strong head. Emits a very good floral aroma, and this drinks with a great American hoppy bite, and firm malt backdrop. Only hit I can give it is it’s a bit on the thin side for such a flavorful brew. On tap at the brewery. Deep golden color, nice aroma, noticeable lacing. Very solid APA, not over the top in terms of alcohol or hops, approachable for just about anyone. Good mixture of hops and malts.

Kind of a nutty bitter taste on this one. Draft at brewpub. Hardly any head with dark orange pour. Not much aroma. Slight pine taste too. Interesting
