Draft 5 oz’er at the brewpub. Quite musty, and a half shade darker than the big crowd of beers here. After the really good Mother Road APA, this comes across a bit off balance, with an odd almost-rubbery flavor component ... but it can also be labeled even keeled, if that makes any sense whatsoever. Comes across more sweet than hoppy, IMHO. (#5220, 8/28/2013)

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured an amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of spicey hoppiness. The taste was of citrus and spicey hops with rye smoothness and malts. Nicely done.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2016 At the brewpub. I quite enjoyed this. Lighter in color that many rye beers. Strongly hopped but balanced with the malty. Not as spicy as some Rye beers. Serving: Tap

Tap - small foamy head, light gold color, nice citrusy/lemon hop aroma and flavor, decent malt backbone with a touch of the rye spice - overall very good - wasn’t expecting it to be as light and citrusy as it is
