UPDATED: MAY 26, 2016 At the brewpub. Enjoyed it as I did the regular long 9. Interesting citrusy hop flavor with the special new hop but a black ipa with that much else going on may not be the best to showcase the hop. Serving: cask

At brewpub. Black with a tan head. Burn malts. Citrus as well. Medium body. Flavor is nice blend of roasted matts and citrus hops. Bitter finish. Very tasty. Strykzone (7796) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2014
Shared pint at the brewery beer garden. Listed as 7.7%. black with a tan head. First sip made me look for berries on the description. Currants are there. Those are out front. Hops bring bitterness and some citrus. They grow. A very different take on the black IPA theme. Short of delicious but still quite nice.
