Grovlam (4247) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2007
#30 [Blind tasting @ Papsoe, Courtesy of yespr] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear flat body with a pale yellow colour. Grassy, cardboard, grain, caramel and fruit. Hint of butter in the sniff. Light bodied with a light dry texture and an average carbonation. Light bitter and sweet flavour. Light dry and grassy bitter finish. 2 / 5 / 5 / 2 / 6 = 2.0

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2009 old rating: 4/2/4/2/8 - 2.0. pours slightly cloudy golden yellow with thin white head. smell is pear, malt, yeast, grain, and citrus. taste is crisp, malts, corn, grain, lemon, somewhat sweet, and a bit metallic, ends a little bitter and slightly dry.

MadMan (495) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 8, 2007
Bottle. Chilled, bot no Obolon becomes visible, there is a small white patch on the back that reads "magnat" kind of faintly though. Pours yellowish and slightly hazy with thin white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, some lemon. malt, hop. Body is light, with low carbonation. Flavor is moderately sweet, with a strong grassiness. Finish is lightly bitter and dry. Not bad, I suppose my expectations were low due to what I’ve been getting off the eastern bloc shelf but still. I’ll not seek it out again though.

RblWthACoz (964) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 27, 2007
Pours straw gold with a fast falling white head. Nose is typical. Slight malty character and just a basic grain like fragrance. Flavor is a little bit heartier than I had expected, which knocks it up a little bit, but still a fairly average profile. Feel is the usual routine. Slight bubble on the tongue and a pretty thin liquid experience. Drinkable I guess. Just a typical brew. Nothing really outstanding at all here.

bhensonb (15235) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 6, 2007
500 cL bottle. Aroma of grain and wet paper; hint of skunk. Brassy gold color with a white head that left. Flavor has a bit of skunk. Pale malt along with a decent amount of arguably noble hop. Unfortunately the skunk stayed to the finish. It’s drinkable, but its not overly pleasant. Damn green bottles.

Lowe1983 (1594) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2007
Pours a clear light golden color with a white head. Aroma is of hay, sweet malts, and skunk. Flavor is the same. Seems pretty watery but still a little better then other macro brews. No lingering flavor and plenty of skunk. Not good.

puboflyons (3434) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 17, 2007
500 ml bottle. The aroma was skunky and metallic. It poured yellow and basically looked no diffrent than any of the US mass-produced pales like Bud, Coors, and Miller. It was smooth enough but I found the aroma a bit overpowering to make this enjoyable. It tasted like a cheap Heineken. Not impressed.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 17, 2007
(50cl bottle) But it says it’s an ale! Could the brewer possibly be "mistaken?" Crystal clear apple juice body topped by medium white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, fruity, bread, light grassy. Taste is medium sweet, fruity, some earthy/grassy, light grainy. Light astringency. Watery light-medium body.

Nightfall (1307) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2007
Found it 2 Carrefour in Gerakas Attikis (Greece) along with some other ukranian beer and had to try them of course. A typical pale lager with slightly dry end. Average

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 17, 2007
sampled in Kos - clear golden-bronze colour with a little foam; decently malty nose with notes of rice and smoked bacon; moderately swet with a good regular malt body; a touch of late bitterness and a short gently malty finish
