COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is strong beer with harmonic composition of hop bitterness and flavour. Outside of traditional ingredients such as barley malt, hops and artesian water Obolon Strong contains maltose syrup. Due to it this beer has nice light flavour, is strong enough and at the same time has smaller content of carbohydrates. A glass of this beer will be appropriate in the cold period of the year. 16

500ml embossed green bottle. Marketing-wise one of the best breweries out there. Pours a light gold. Aroma is fresh, slightly metallic and griany, flavor is sweet and herbal, not offensive, ok.

From the bottle a weird soapy smell, small grain and yeast presence. Mild soapy taste, chemicals and odd tin vibe.

1L plastic. Pours golden, flat. No head, carbonation or strong aroma. Mild lager smell. Feels like a flat pilsner with extra alcohol added. Does warm you up. Not revolting, but nothing good about it. It is heavily sweet and sharp with alcohol. Thin bodied - barely above watery. Not my kind of fortified lager.

1L bottle. Rubbery, papery, sweet, grainy, boozy. There is a decent maltiness underneath all the crap, or at least seems to be, but the crap is pretty bad. Way too boozy for the ABV.

Look; near white good head and clear straw golden body. Aroma; leafy hops and pale malts in an inviting way. Taste; solid malts, grassy hops, apple, sweat bread - leading to a blended finish of malts and mild hops. Normal texture and normal carbonation. No off-tastes, but boring. This isnt half bad, a lot fuller and richer in the taste and thats always welcome, but its not hop bite. Enjoyable and drinkable, and thats always a good thing

Bottle, from Pac & Save, Palmerston North. Im very much with Nickel below. Very little to say about this Malt-Liquor type of shite, except that it is terribly alcoholic and cloying sweet.

6,8 ABV on bottle. Amber colour. Aroma of grain and tremendous amount of alcohol. Sweet taste. Light to medium body. Watery finish. The beer that exists in vain.
