Bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach. Pours a reddish brown with a white head leaving a bit of streaky lace. Aroma has ... caramel. Maybe a bit of earth and tabasco. Taste is of sweet caramel, brown sugar and peat, with more earthiness. Oysters? Some alcohol. Not stellar. Old bottle?? blipp (9168) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 26, 2014

Strong coffee and nutty aromas. Beautiful dark color. High carbonation. Doesn’t hit your palate like a porter. Very gentle delivery. Cocoa, coffee, coconut, vanilla. Smooth, smooth finish. AdamT (268) - North Carolina, USA - DEC 5, 2013
12oz bottle from Brewmasters. Dark amber hue with off-white mostly diminishing fizzy head. Virtually no lacing. Heavy malt & coffee on the nose. Moderate chocolate malt up front with a hint of coconut on the finish, mostly malt though. Fizzy carbonation on the palate. I thought this was pretty good! jhp40219 (449) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 4, 2013
12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with amber hues. Large head that faded to a ring of bubbles fairly quickly. Spotty lacing that slid down into the beer. Aroma and taste of coconut, chocolate, coffee, caramel, and toasted grain. Very nice sweet taste without being too sweet or candy like. Full body, creamy texture, moderate carbonation, dry bitter finish of toasted coconut and malt. Very nice! The inspiration of my next homebrew! Pours cola brown in color with a thick light tan head. Aroma is heavy roasted malts and light coffee. Taste is coffee, a little chocolate sliding into a easy malty finish - can’t really find the coconut, unless it is supplying some smoothness. Not super complex, but pleasant. alexsdad06 (10268) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle shared by b3shine at Jason’s Stone tasting. Pours a clear brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted coconut, mild chocolate, lighter roast, mild earthy bitterness. OK for what it is.
