On tap at Stateside Craft, pours a murky amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, dry toffee, and bready malts. Flavour is well-balanced, with toasted bready malts, nuts and even a little cocoa, with some feint clove-like spice and a touch of banana in back. Very cohesive and well-constructed beer. Good stuff. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 7, 2014
Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouverkschep (1707) - DENMARK - JUN 10, 2014
Cloudy dark amber color with creamy beige head. The Dunkel character is very moderate, the Weizen character is medium, and it’s a different take at the style, with some sweet apple flavor and aroma alongside the banana, and very light peach; low bitterness.
Nose is decent red currant, cake, cashew, dough, feel is quite broad, taste is potato, cherry note, sweet red onion, aluminum, Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 20, 2014
Muddy light amber-brown, banana and spice aroma, touch of bready malt. Sweet up front, but I’m catching some phenols late that I’m not liking - that burning rubber sort of thing. It’s faint, but yeah annoying, pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 10, 2013
On draught at occidental - pours cloudy copper with medium thick head. Nose of mostly yeast, grain, cloves. Taste of cloves, dark cherry, and yeast.

On draught at Gigantic. Hazy dark amber color. Sweet biscuit aroma with hints of apple cider. Taste is spiced apple cider and sweet malt. Nice spiced fruit finish. jgb9348 (6199) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2013
Deep hazy brown coloured body with a tan tint and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeast characteristic with some banana and wheat with a bit of sugars and toffee and very little else. Aftertaste shows mostly the malt and yeast characteristics with the sugars and a hint of citrus on the back end. Overall, a decent dunkelweizen at best, and a very mild lager at worst. Not really worth drinking, even if you like the style. I sampled this pint on draught at Gruner in Portland, Oregon today on 13-April-2013 for US$8. stchloe (1017) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Cloudy body and big head, fruity aspects with a nicely balanced yeast and sweet malt body reminiscent of a hefeweizen.

Big sudsy dusty white head, prune body, thick film of yeast left on the glass. Good fruity nose with loads of spice. Monster clove, bananas, sweet malt, and white pepper. Good beer although a little gummy on the finish. benjaminbier (45) - Oregon, USA - NOV 4, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Round about 60F. Color of tanned leather, a bit darker than burnt orange, and cloudy, slightly yellow around the very edges. Excellent foam, a solid chunk at the top. Takes a few minutes to simmer down. Aroma is clove and bread. Flavor is wheaty, some maltiness there. Character is largely clove and malt, mostly in the direction of the yeast clove, but well balanced with the malt. Very much like modern German styles in terms of color, drinkability, and taste.
