Sample at Malmö Öl & Whisky Festival 2017. A clear dark brown coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel, grain, fruit, molasses, malt, hops, grass and bitterness. NosirIwont (2549) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2017
Bottle. 5.0%. Best before 28.05.17. Pours a clear, deep golden/amber with a light tan head. Good lacing. Fruity hop aroma, with light notes of molasses and a dusty hint. Flavour is fruity and a bit spicy hops, with malt and molasses in the background. Hint of green apple as it warms. Bitter finish, fruity with a lingering liquorice-y bitterness, metallic and grassy/apple notes. Floral/perfumy hinty as it warms. Feels a wee bit watery. Overall decent, pretty true to the style. 25.02.17. Linnet (1849) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2016
coffee, floral, alcohol, bread, grass, perfume, roastiness is evident.
Copper colour, small beige head.
Mid-sweet, soft bite, salty.
Medium body, soft carbonation, long sweetish and roasty finish.
Well made, true to the English tradition.

When pouring the beer, it has a red-brown color. Beige / white foam with large bubbles. The foam disappeared at a leisurely pace, leaving little thin track. The aroma gives quite roasted tones, malty with caramel. But even some grass and some bitterness with a little caramel aromas. A little smoke and thin hop aroma toward the end. Some lemon and grapefruit, I suspect. The taste gives pretty toasted notes of malt, hops tones feels fresh and creeps. But then comes the caramel again. A little grapefruit, apricot, a little apple. Some grass and some bitterness. Medium body. Carbonation is medium strong. The fluid is light and dry, but much butter feeling. mjs (7470) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 6, 2016
(Cask at Oliver Twist, 20160324) The beer poured deep dark brown and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had caramel, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, caramel, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A nice brew I’d categorise as brown ale.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2016 Backlog, early amateur rating! @ Havregatan 201209xx. Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity, malty and caramely. knasputte78 (661) - SWEDEN - JAN 10, 2016
Ocean bryggeriet Ebbot Ale +++++ mörk, fyllig, ton av choklad, men ändå läskande. Trevlig flaska från bra Göteborgs bryggeri.

Sampled from a bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a tan head. The alcohol is immediately apparent along with a caramel taste from the malt. Some hop flavours in the finish, but strangely lacking in flavour. Not very fruity and not very dry. A little bit disappointing. rollerton (194) - SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2015
Bottle at brewery tasting. Very good ale, a kind of brown ale. Very tasteful and balanced. Recommended! Peter_L (1246) - SWEDEN - APR 14, 2015
Flaska från SB. Rödbrun vätska med lågt, beigt, skum. Tydlig doft av fruktkaka, smörkola och lite blommor. Stram och neutral beska med antydning av blommor. Lite karamell i smaken så hade vi varit hemma.
