Draught at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg. Very nice amber beer with a lasting beige head. Toffee aroma, milky and with hoppy notes. Chocolate flavor, grassy and with metal notes. A bit on the thin side.

Draught (cask?). Medium amber with a light haze, white head. Malty nose with some yeasty notes, caramel, fudge, light chocolate, apricots, hops. Dry, medium body, quite high bitterness, appropriately low CO2. Malty taste, caramel, hops, yeast, and a faint earthy note (characteristic of many Ocean beers?). (2011-04-06)

50cl bottle, courtesy of and shared with Gnoff.

Nicely balanced between sweetness and hoppiness. Some roasted and chocolate notes. Overall a good ale!

When pouring the beer, it has a red-brown color. Beige / white foam with large bubbles. The foam disappeared at a leisurely pace, leaving little thin track. The aroma gives quite roasted tones, malty with caramel. But even some grass and some bitterness with a little caramel aromas. A little smoke and thin hop aroma toward the end. Some lemon and grapefruit, I suspect. The taste gives pretty toasted notes of malt, hops tones feels fresh and creeps. But then comes the caramel again. A little grapefruit, apricot, a little apple. Some grass and some bitterness. Medium body. Carbonation is medium strong. The fluid is light and dry, but much butter feeling.

coffee, floral, alcohol, bread, grass, perfume, roastiness is evident. Copper colour, small beige head. Mid-sweet, soft bite, salty. Medium body, soft carbonation, long sweetish and roasty finish. Well made, true to the English tradition.

Draught at The Rover, Göteborg. On March 29, 2011
Clear copper color, dense tan head. Fruity, bitter, metallic, grainy, berry taste. Smooth yet a bit to the thin side mouthfeel. Bitter aftertaste. Fruity, berry, sweet scent. Medium bitterness.
I like it, not too much poking you for attention, just a nice smooth easy to drink, nice ale. Go get it!

Malty, sweet, candy, almond paste scent. Clear red color, off-white head. Malty, mineral, sweet tatse. Malty and mineral aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low to medium low bitterness.
Not as nice as the one I had on draught.

olsvammel (7226) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2011
Sample at SMÖF 2011. It poured a clear dark brown liquid. Smell and taste of dark malts and chocolate. Nice and easy to drink, but I got a feeling I would grow tired if I had a full 50 cl glas.

Draught. High creamy lasting white head. Clear ruby body. Mild berries caramel aroma. Surprisingly sweet and yet bitter berries caramel flavor with a low carbonation and a short aftertaste.
