Draught @ BAJT on January 28. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a small mocha head that clings to the glass while quickly dissipating. Smell is subtle and sweet with toasted malts, chocolate and some coffee. Taste is sweet and slightly sour with toasted malts, cacao, sweetened coffee, sweet fruits and burnt sugar. Finish is sweet, bitter and slightly sour with some coffee.

Pours pitch black with a creamy head. Sweet and rich aromas of chocolate nougat with a big dash of roasted malt. The body is thick but still velvety smooth. Rich creamy flavours of malt, coffee and dark creamy chocolate. Big sweetness.

Off-dry, full bodied, high bitterness, balanced CO2. Very rich, full taste, hard toast, lots of tar, licorice, coffee beans, lightly smoky, yeast, earth, hops, mint, tobacco. (2011-07-03)
