Pours black with a small brown head. Taste of coffee, roasted malt, maybe some vanilla. A bit too sweet, but nice.

Bottle. 9.0%. Best before 07.11.17. As ’Ocean Arbetarporter’. Pours almost black, with a dark-ish tan head. Slight lacing. Roasted, fruity, dryish aroma, dark fruits as it warms. Flavour is roasted with a fruity note as well. Hints of chocolate, dark fruits as it warms, here as well. Mildly bitter finish, roasted and fruity, a bit dusty, and with hints of coffee. Lingering mild alcohol burn and a somewhat ashy note. Overall good, though not blowing me away. Hides the high alcohol percentage well. A wee bit cloying in the long run though. 24.03.17.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel! Fast schwarze Farbe, große bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig süß malzig, schokoladig, wenig Kaffee. Geschmack süß schokoladig malzig, karamellig, mild bitter hopfig, lange süße.

TEJA (3444) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2016
Sampled at SBWF 2015. Lasting and very nice brown head. Dark brown color. Big licorice aroma. Sweet caramel taste. Firm bitterness and body.

Erzengel (10257) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - AUG 13, 2016
Many thanks to Nisse666 for this bottle! Dry roasted beginning. The beer is smooth with hints of smoke. Nice dry body, fresh and intense round with lots of roasted malts. Dry body, still highly drinkable, nice and subtle sweetness. The malt there is intense roasted, nice aroma of burned grain, roasted hazelnuts or dry caramel. Fascinating smooth in the aftertaste, not sticky, moderate bitter. Great stuff!

Bottle share at LKS Towers as ’Ocean Järntorgets Arbetarporter’, 9.0%, many thanks to Leighton for this one. Opaque black, small foamy brown head. Aroma is booze, chocolate, sharp woody notes. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is molasses, booze, chocolate, light varnish, dry and boozy. Quite tasty but a bit harsh considering the restrained ABV for style.

When pouring the beer, it has a black-brown color. Beige / brown foam with large bubbles. The foam disappeared at a leisurely pace, leaving thin trails. The scent has a roasted sweet malt tonnes. Complex flavors of coffee and dark chocolate. Orange and Clove. But can also find some cherries and thin vanilla. Very big in fragrance. The taste has a sweet roasted malt. Great flavors of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Also little orange and cloves. But even some cherries and vanilla thin toward the end. Great flavors sitting in and marries perfectly. Medium to full body. Lightweight carbon dioxide, with small bubbles. A perfect match was guaranteed to bitterness. A really good balanced Porter / Stout.

Bottleshare at Mr Smith’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown - black beer, tidy pale head. Palate is smooth, fairly dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, licorice streaked. Some alcohol spice. Light semi dry finish. A bit simple and with obvious alcohol.
