Bottle 50 cl from Systembolaget. Clear red/mahogany with a beige head. Berries, bitterness, spices, some roast, very interesting balance between flavours. Medium body, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Very nice taste.

Bottle from SB 141230. Very dark ruby with a lacing off-white head. Ashes and malt in the nose. Much more complex palate. Fullbodied maltiness with some coffee and liquorise. Dry but not really bitter. Very nice julöl. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle, dark red brown with low off white head. Aroma with notes of caramel, dark bread, herbs and some pine. Taste is full and a little bitter, well balanced with a medium sweet malt body, slightly bitter after taste. Really nice!

Backlog. 2011-version. On tap at Green Lion Inn. Im not really a fan of the winter-seasonals and this was just one in the line of un-impressing winter-seasonal.

Really good smell. The taste is heavenly good but the black malt sneaks himself surprisingly forward. The aftertaste is long and good but not too dry. Really good beer as me. Not like other Christmas beers I’ve tried. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle from Systembolaget web shop. Hazy dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruit and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. I had this on the evening of the hottest day of the year where temperatures had reached more than 30 degrees. It still worked well :-) 020813

On tap. Aroma hoppy and sweet. Taste: a lot of hops but not a lot of other flavors. Hops dominating.

A very fresh and tasteful winter ale that one can enjoy at dinner time or by it self

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with some red tinges. Berries, blackcurrant, walnuts, marzipan, cocoa and dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity, roasted and hopppy taste with notes of cocoa, raisins, marzipan and Christmas cake. Very nice.
