On draught at Bishops Arms, Västra Hamngatan, Göteborg.
Semi-dark brown colour with a tint of red. Creamy beige head. Aroma is dominated by a nice fruitiness, backed up nicely by toffee, caramel and diacetyl/butterscotch. Flavour is a bit toasty, with buttery notes, and hints of vanilla. Overall dry malty beer with lively maltiness. Great mouthfeel as always(hehe) with Ocean Beers! Draught at MacKinley’s Inn, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour topped with a big rocky beige foam. Dense but still balanced and complex aroma of nuts, fudge, dried oranges, chocolate-sauce, red berries, yeast and earth. Full, sweet flavour of milky chocolate, almonds, vanilla and figs with dense notes of earthy hops. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Fudge, nuts and dripping chocolate in the finish with subtle hoppy notes of grass and currant. A very well made winter warmer on the complex malty shore. I need more of this!
Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Modeate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long nice heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Perfect balance. Very good beer. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 3, 2012

(old backlog). Reddish brown colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready and caramel malty with some slight toasted and coffeeish notes along with some ripe fruits, raisins and plum. Flavour is rather similar with some slight spicyness (yeastyness?) to it as well. would probably suit the Xmas food table rather well.
500ml Bottle - Dark brown with some red tinges. Berries, blackcurrant, walnuts, marzipan, cocoa and dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity, roasted and hopppy taste with notes of cocoa, raisins, marzipan and Christmas cake. Very nice. Seffle (464) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle from SB 141230.
Very dark ruby with a lacing off-white head. Ashes and malt in the nose. Much more complex palate. Fullbodied maltiness with some coffee and liquorise. Dry but not really bitter. Very nice julöl.

Bottle. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are fruits, spices, malt, hops and nuts. LoFi (1735) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 1, 2011
Bottle. Has a casky look. The head is small and quickly fades into a mist on the surface and a porous ring around the glass. The colour is dark copper. Aroma: very fruity with some butterscotch and perhaps licorice. Taste: a soft maltiness, oranges, dried fruits, hard candies, and a medium bitterness (grapefruit and grass) that grows towards the end. The mouthfeel also feels a bit like hand pumped: smooth with a slight carbonation, a bit flat. A nice English style winter warmer. AlbertC (277) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 4, 2011
Aroma is flowers, christmas spices. Taste is balanced; caramel, malts, coffee, menthol, spicy and cream. Some hops kicks in at the end with the menthol building up into a very fresh finish. Good with greasy christmas food.
