Bottle, 33cL. Home. A dark chestnut beer with a good off-white head ; medium retention. Roast, a lot of spices (ginger+), heather, herb, light metallic, caramel, water, lentil. Light to medium sweet, light dry refreshing, bitter note. Light to medium sweet, watery texture, average carbonation, short strong spicy heather finish. Overall, average amber spicy french ale ; light Christmas spirit. Too spicy. worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2013
I think this one is bottled conditioned as there is a lot of yeast in the bottom. Hazy brown with a thin creamy, somewhat lasting, light lace white head. Looks at first glace like a trappist beer. Smells of strawberry and lime, with light spices and leather malt. Medium to light watery body. Tastes of complex toasted malt, figs with a light fruityness and a slight metallic finish. Starts sweet and then moves to a lemon yeast and slightly rotten vegenables finish. jaghana (6070) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - DEC 30, 2012
Bottle 33cl, a cloudy amber beer with medium head. Nose is on spices, aroma is low malty, sweet, spicy on cinnamon and cloves, very metallic, bit watery, yeast touch, even a light vomit note, as for all beer of this brewery an intense dusty yeast notes, just drinkable; jonas (7583) - Garching b. Hazy amber with microscopic yeast particles, quickly collapsing head.
Candyish and light lemony aroma.
Minerally malt base, not overly full or chewy, moderately fruity yeast strain, lemons candy again, slightly metallic finish. Sparkly mouthfeel.
